Sudbury to think about limiting pay day loan centers in city

Ward 4 Coun. Geoff McCausland really wants to assist residents stop searching on their own into deep monetary holes.

After a few delays, McCausland introduced a movement during Tuesday’s council meeting searching for a study that will review the relevant bylaw (bylaw 2004-350) and eventually limit how many pay day loan centres peppered throughout the town. The movement suggested the review should always be presented to council because of the finish associated with the third quarter.

McCausland, whoever ward includes the Donovan, told The celebrity recently he had been startled to view a billboard advertising an online payday loan centre during the steps that are front their ward.

“A month or two ago, there is a billboard marketing pay day loans on Kathleen Street, while you joined the Donovan.
